Awesome!!!! The DLRA has all of my support for the April meeting and i am willing to offer my services in any way that i can to help. We have a total of four riders in our SA team and we are all here for the support of this great sport. I have also spent some time assisting 5 new riders with setting up there bikes ready for the lake and these guys are itching to get out there either way so hopefully this April meeting goes ahead. Im so keen to get out there myself as ive induced some serious get up and go stuff now and looking forward to catching up with all my salty mates. Love ya work Plucka!! Shane Gaghan #805

Good idea Animal but I think that there would be a greater amount of members from NSW and SA would attend a meeting in Melbourne.I also think that Tailem Bend would would not have a hall big enough for the massive amount of interested people at the moment. I think Easter would not be a good time either as most members have those holidays booked too. Also, would the lake be dry by then?..Things to ponder cos next time we have to get it right.

What Iam trying to say is an AGM in Melbourne ASAP There would be a massive discussion in General Business re. a race meeting in April as many of the members want to race as soon as possible.

I'm all for a race around the end of april. happy to volunteer with the jobs etc. tell us what needs to be done.

Spook, Tailem Bend raceway is the venue, huge workshop we can use as a hall & camping for those who wish to. Test and Tune starts at daybreak, meeting after tea that night. (Last few T & T showed that one day is enough plus it saves us over a grand in hire.) Pete. DLRA #6.

My 2 cents worth, I believe a AGM should be held in a capital city ie Melbourne....Animal is so so right there is more chat between members than what is shown on this forum. There needs to be a even playing field for members to attend and have a say to what happens, this will give a chance for some contsructive ideas to appear and be tabled. Tailem Bend may suit some ...but certainly not all can attend.This event is now international with many O/S guests attending also mentioning the worlds second largest car manufacture looks upon the event other than in very professional eyes.How this is handled I feel is critical ,our voices are many and varied....I suggest a poll is needed for this topic too.....where to hold a AGM....this is not a normal meeting......its going to determine a future direction .

OK, if we are having a poll to see where the AGM is to be held, I suggest that people who have no intention on attending are not eligible to vote.

And as this the only current T&T venue in Australia it will give some out of towners a chance to have a play.

In my opinion the AGM should be held in Melbourne close to the airport so all interstate members have a chance of getting there, all members input is reqired as to get the best for our club the Proxy vote system is a reqirement under the rules of our constitution to give all members the chance to voice there say.
And people should be using the AGM part of this forum or the Members off line forum to voice there opinion

I meant to vote in the poll as to where the AGM is to be held not vote on club matters.

Not trying to sound dumb here......but where is this offline members forum? I can't find it.

The section titled DLRA Members is supposed to be visible to financial members only.

It's hard to proxy vote for/against anything when the issues are not publicised (to members) prior to meetings, whether that's online or in a prior newsletter.
