Saw a picture of Lake Omeo sent in by someone at Berambra on the ABC news this am.

It's full of water and they said it's an extremely rare event, we're definitely on a streak of sorts.

My friend Ben took these pics on Lake O last week (Jan 14). He said there was shallow water up one end of the lake and he was able to drive "for ages" and got the old rod over 100Kph. There were heaps of tracks and ruts all over the place.

Drop by for a coffee and get those bonnet flutes punched, the one's you've been dreaming about.

What is the surface like Greg?
The picture of the car above looks like it has furrows in it.

Is the a 2013 meet planned?

We did not go out onto it Jon
a quick flyby as it was picnic race weekend and we were not sure how far we had to travel to get a room for the nite , already had 300kms of mostly dirt riding done that day and just wanted a beer and bed

The tracks across from the far shore were evident at the lake entry , there something that needs to be delt with when we prepare the track
small area in general that we cross, it will need filling and rolling

Just a heads up.

Had a mate come by tonight who was in Omeo last week. He says that the lake is full.

Cheers,
Rob

There must have been some serious rain out that way.
We did a ride in late Feb through Omeo and out to Benambra to look at the the lake. It was dry and very overgrown with grass and other vegetation.
I nearly had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.

The mate I was talking has family in the area. They told him that 34 lakes and dams need to overflow before it hits Omeo so serious rain is a safe bet.
