Entry Form 2013

Post by RGV » Tue Jan 08, 2013 7:12 pm

I just received my 2013 Entry Form in the mail and have a question about the "Race Entry Fee $275" Will the $250 paid in 2011 carry over to this years fees and we only pay $25.00? Im pretty sure I know the answer but just need it confirmed before I send my Entry Form off.

Any ENTRY FEES paid for Speed Week 2011 or Speed Week 2012 or Lake Omeo 2012 carry over to Speed Week 2013.
Annual membership/subscription of $25 will be due and payment required at Speed Week 2013.
If your entry details (driver/rider AND vehicle) have not changed, you don't have to send a new entry form, just let Carol know that your coming.
At this stage we really have no idea as to who is coming and who is not apart from those that have already confirmed or have notified us of change of vehicle/class details. (not many)

Entrants help us help you.
Please ensure that you have fully completed your 2013 entry form. With the introduction of the new timing equipment this year we need the following information uploaded into the timing system before your runs can be recorded.
  • Member Number
  • Member Name
  • Vehicle Number (If you are running multiple classes with the same vehicle, each class has to have a unique vehicle number eg 226, 226A, 226B)
  • Vehicle Type (Car or Truck / Motorcycle)
  • Vehicle Description (Year / Make / Model)
  • Vehicle Class (Engine Displacement / Category)
  • Vehicle Colour
If you present at registration with an incomplete entry form, you will be instructed to take it away and not bring it back until it is complete. We don't want a queue of other entrants behind you standing there waiting for you to finish filling out your entry form.

Please make sure your vehicle has the driver and class identifiers clearly displayed in contrasting letters at least 75mm high
eg. 226 C/ALT or 226B C/FALT
If you have multiple drivers/riders for one vehicle, you can have all combinations listed, so long as when you present at Pre-Stage the only the details visible are for one driver / vehicle combo racing at that time.

Any questions please ask.
Keep the shiney side up........

Thanx for clearing that up. I wasnt sure if more information was needed for the new system but it all looks the same as the old Entry Form.

That's for cars

Motorcycles are as follows
Member/ Vehicle number 75 mm high by 25mm wide
Class numbers 25mm high
The important thing to remember is that the starter must be able to see the numbers when you are sitting on the bike at the start line
They must be all together in one spot and don't confuse things by having them near what ever numbers are already on the bike
If you are using number plates note that in some classes you must be able to see all of the rear wheel
Image

7.B.1 Number/Classes:
All entries shall have the number and class on each side of the motorcycle, which shall be clearly
visible with the rider in the riding position. Numbers shall be a minimum of 3 in. high by 1 in. wide,
class designation characters shall be a minimum of 1 in. high; both must contrast with the
background on which they are applied.
Number/class may be applied to a surface on the motorcycle or number plates may be used.
Number plates shall be securely mounted with a minimum dimension of 6 in. by 8 in. and a
maximum dimension of 10 in. by 12 in., with a minimum corner radius of 1 in. Number plate
location is dependent on specific class rules.
They make it
I make it work

I buggered up mine because I did not read about the smaller class number size for bike. I was trying to fit the numbers in the panel insert (where the MPS/G is) which would have worked ok, however I did not take into account the width. Is this OK? Or should I get smaller numbers and have them in a line?

Note: After this race the Vespa gets it's new look so I will be repainting the whole thing

Don't you mean Lysdexia?

That's the worse side - the other side has the 250 in a better spot.

______250
MPS/G

Edit: Actually because the letters are so small, it only costs $20 to get a new set - so I will just do that ;)
