Haven't heard anything from the lake as yet. Big Gaz and Rob left Renmark about an hour ago and will probably stop at Berri for the night and will get to the lake about middayish Sunday.

I just added here how we can get updates next year: http://www.dlra.org.au/forum/viewtopic. ... 479#p20479 - hopefully I will be on the other side pushing them out ;)

I'm am not sure what will be the holdup. When I came over in 2006 I brought over a full system to provide event coverage and did it. That was back in 2006. Surely there has to be more solutions today than 7 years ago?

There should be no issue but all the tracking of racing has changed. I see the biggest task is hooking in to the new system so that it is just a click of a mouse to push out what is in the race database to the web. Once we have that, which I can do (once I know the system), it will happen automagically :)

Onya Norm! 209 is pretty quick for an exposed rollcage! Had he done 200 at Gairdner before? I have watched him just miss a number of times....

Congratulations to Norm on the 209 mph, for a while there i thought he was going to take his long service leave on that project, what is the class record for that car?

Please note correction:

Norm Hardinge has run 207mph in his 34 ford which he has taken to Bonneville a number of times recently. This is a red hat and class record for Gairdner and that is great news for a top bloke and absolute supporter of the sport for many many years.

It was USA driver David Haas ran a 209mph yesterday gaining a red hat and a record as well, in the same 34 Ford, using different fuel to Norms run. So two class records for Big Knob!

Well done all.
