yes I attended the Snowy Mountains 1000 in a VW Beetle very similar to my salt car (shares same engine)
Cars must be street-reg which might restrict any salt cars from attending.
Quickest time was a modified Nissan GTR - 17.xx seconds and 299km/h
Highest speed was a Supra - 307? in 18.xx seconds, IIRC.

I did 177km/h and 27.xx seconds. Yay!

It was a well-run event and I intend to go back. Good fun!

Hi folks the Snowy 1000 is on again 22 Nov 2014 at Cooma Airport in the NSW Snowy Mountains

Last year, this was a well-run event with a good variety of cars, from my Beetle to Commodores/Falcons and even a Pagani Zonda! Google that one!

Hoping to go faster and quicker this year!
