MOTORCYCLE RETRIEVAL TRAILER

Post by ROSS BROWN »

Due to motorcycles stranded on the salt last season..
A low lift trailer has being built.
It should be able to carry anything from a scotter to the " BONES " extra stretch A bike

If you are a lone ranger out there, organize yourself at scruiteneering as it to be your retrieval trailer
It wil be constantly hooked to a spotter vehical and be patroling..
IT IS ALL A RACE AGAINST TIME.
TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE.

HOW FAST CAN YOU GO ?

Fantastic! I was in the process of decking out a (as yet driverless) support vehicle... CB Radio next on the shopping list...

If this is the long ranger support system then I am happy to donate the bits I have already (cheap flashing light/spill kit) and $200 I was about to spend on the radio. I'd much rather pay for a shared resource that everyone gets the benefit of!

Also happy for me to be (including the car if needbe) as part of some roaster (and I would imagine that would be a requirement of using it).

Cheers,

Paul

Ok
Ross wins
I was about to present a trailer for the same purpose
this way there is a choice
trailer.jpg
trailer.jpg (164.78 KiB) Viewed 22939 times
the front wheel is "strapped" and pulled down @ the rear
trailerbike.jpg
trailerbike.jpg (156.06 KiB) Viewed 22939 times
So this should help with delays for DEAD bikes

Yep .. "The Lone ranger support system " I think we shall name the trailer "TONTO"
Keep ya cash in ya pocket .. It's your " TIME " we want..
there are 3 full week extra duties ..
1 .. IMPOUND.. 9 1/2 day shifts
2 .. SPOTTERS .. 9 1/2 day shifts
3.. SHORT TRACK TIMING.. 9 1/2 day shifts
Key personal are already in positions, BUT " we do need a hand "
If a motorcycle competitor is not already on the volenteeres register .. by the time they get through
scruitineering they will be

Stayt'ie
The wooden chock was primarily to stop the "A bike" front guards from scratching the paint of the "Tonto"
but yep it can double as a ramp..

Tiny..
If you blow up on Monday .. I'll make you in charge of "IMPOUND" for the rest of the week..

Bones ..
I did wonder how long your bike was  .... the bike on the trailer is 1700mm axle to axle, the trailer will take 2200mm.

Harky.. A little bird told me you were building a trailer.. :D there will be times where both will be needed at the same time.. this will help share the load..
Look forward to seeing ya...

what is it with "Yellow" bikes,

thanks Ross, was thinking some of the bikes can be "Heavy" and to manually lift the frounts 3" could be a struggle, :) ,,

Looking good on the Retrieval Trailers, Proper Job there x 2.

Hey Ron, don't worry about having another Yellow thing down there, Ross is a distant relative of Henry Ford, you can have any colour as long as it's Matt Black :!: :!: :!:

Pete :D
Still trying to decide if I am a procrastinator
