Might have to put a weight limit or weight per wheel limit on vehicles allowed onto the lake.

Just had a call via Bob Ellis, from Cookey.
1" of water out near the the track but the ramp is fine.
2014 Speed Week is all go.

It should all dry out, but we may had to move track further north depending on what we find next week.
The road in from Mt Ive to the lake is a little muddy, but passable. Although it should also dry out by then.

Thanks to Cookey, Smurf, and Pete for making the effort to go out and to Michael Freak DEWNR Ranger for his efforts too.

See you on the salt.
Keep the shiney side up........

As Greg has stated , we may end up moving the course north , the guys drove as far as the 4 mile (the original 4 mile. NOT the 4 mile mark from last event),water is blowing around the lake, but only about 1 " deep. The salt is hard under the water , and as stated the ramp area is also very firm.(This is always our biggest problem area). If we monitor the traffic at the ramp area properly (big trucks , only people that NEED to drive out etc.) Speedweek should be a BIG success.

Great news Bob.
Pussy Puller, which is Shaguar's transporter, is only a light weight!
The bus was engineered yesterday, having the Brown slip (pink slip) done tomorrow and the compliance plate fitted on Monday then registered on Tuesday. Cutting it fine, as usual.
Looking forward to seeing you all again. A week and a half should be plenty of time to dry out. Hopefully the road in won't be too cut up.

Hey Cookey!
Your pictures are making me so happy that the salt is dry and it is just making me wish that I was already on the plane headed south. Thank you for getting those great shots and giving all of more salt fever than we already have. 3 days and counting.....
