Is there any news on the current lake condition for Speedweek in March 2015 ? Thanks

Some rain in SA yesterday and today. Not sure how much fell on the lake if any. Still plenty of time for anything to dry out.

There is a committee meeting on Monday night, I will have a report from those that attended after that.

Here's some touristy photos from Peter Noy #8 who was at the working bee. (Hope this is OK Peter?)
Surface looks flat with "pebbles" on it, but it looks very dry.

Pics look great, can almost hear the salt crunching underfoot

Just hope it ends up that way in a month or so again ,with the amount of rain forcast it may get a bit damp for a while

Bugga Mt Ive's Station has had 13.6mm of rain in the last 72 hours.

13 is good, look at Woomera , besides there more rain the evaporation for the last 10 days is 138mm
good steady falls over 2 days probably had very little run onto the lake

There are many other factors that play a part in evaporation and how it affects Lake Gairdner.

i see on the BOM site that Woomera had over 2", dose anyone know how much the northern areas of Gairdner had, :?: ,, may be a big puddle up there that the wind can bring down to the southern end, :twisted: ,,

Mt Ive have had 13.4mm so far this month ... only got .2mm on Sunday ... the Rain went north and south
