4pm Yesterday Trent walked out of rehab with his Partner & daughter Hope by his side. 266 days - 38 weeks in care. Trent is still improving on a daily basis & it seems that there will be nothing he can not do. That said, there a lot of thing he is learning to do better. First you learn to walk & then you learn to run. Trent has targeted that as one of his next goals. Over the next few months Trent is hoping to get his Driving Lic back (something he can do well on our property) but we need to get clearance from Dr's & OT Driver training in Adelaide so a few more trips before we tick that box. Return to work is a realistic goal but a lot of what Trent did was on ladders & roofs so we have our work cut out with continuing to work on Core strength & balance. This journey is far from over but I am happy to say the worst of it appears behind us.
Thanks to all
see you on the Salt

That is good news and very reassuring. The recovery from a brain injury can be a very long process and progress can be very slow. It sounds like Trent is very motivated and is moving forward really well. I have a brother with a brain injury from an accident 11 years ago and even now he continues to improve, Trent sounds like he is way further down the track to my brother though - which is really good news for him and for the whole Clare family.

Have a great Christmas - all of you - and know that we have all been thinking of you and wishing you well over the last 38 weeks and will continue to do so!

Lynchy and family.
