Accomodation at Port Augusta

Just a bit of a heads up. Was talking to someone today that stays at the Discovery Parks caravan park (ex Big4) in Port Augusta.
They have 80 semi permanent workers staying in the park now, so if you are after a cabin and haven't booked yet, your chances are slim to none. Not sure about the other parks in town but will try and find out or maybe someone can post here.
Might mean you rethink where you stay for your last night in or first night out
