Please pass my thanks on to all those who got the message out so quickly and thereby saving us a wasted trip.

Not an easy decision for those involved to have to make.
Be assured you have our vote of confibdence in your judgement

Lucky for those still here and that have not left.

A pity for those that have travelled or in the position they are out of phone range now not to learn about the cancellation until they get there.

Being new to all this.

Will the club be out of pocket due to the cancellation?
What do yoou normally do in cases like this (assuming it has happened before!)

Ask for donations, pass the hat around levy members?

Does not seem fair that some may be left carrying the can after the S@#* starts falling!.

I'm out of pocket a couple of hundred in airfares - you can send me the results of passing around the hat!

I just spent at least $1500 on a tent & stuff, but compared to Keith & Tonya Turk who shipped their HotRod Special Camaro from the USA, and the rest of their crew who flew here also, cash-wise, I am way in front.

At least I'm set for next year. :D

We've got two team members somewhere between Norseman and Port Augusta. Haven't been able to get hold of them yet.

A camper van that we lose 50% on if we cancel tonight, or THE WHOLE BLOODY LOT if we cancel tomorrow. :(

Like I said, I would have rather been none the wiser and rocked up to the lake.

...plus there's all that wine and beer that we've got to drink!
