Ear Plugs
Hey Rob,
Have fun at the Salt.
Did you remember to bring some ear plugs and/or ear muffs home from work?! Then again, you need some culture so enjoy Don's music!
Cheers,
Pete

Guys , Thanks for the advise about the fuel at Iron Knob. A few Gerry Cans will be in order I think.

Just arrived back from the Lake last night. There was 10mm of rain on the lake on the Sat night before speedweek. That delayed proceedings until Tuesday afternoon when the course was opened up for racing. Some additional showers followed that day but licensing passes were run for new competitors.
Full day of racing on Wed. Proceedings were running well into early afternoon on Thursday when we left. Severe storms were experienced nearby on Wednesday causing local flooding but did not appear to reach the lake. Report from Chris Hanlon that the salt was not offering great traction and was experiening considerable wheel sping in the top end reducing speed.
Lots of newcomers this year and apart from the delays all appeared to be running well.
If anyone at the lake can pick up the internet please be advised that the road from Mt Ive to Iron Knob was badly affected by the storm that passed through that area yesterday. Was still passable when we went through but many muddy areas that were becoming badly churned up. Take care out there and be patient.
Some pics below give a taste of the vehicles there.
