Great news ... :D :D
If ever I go missing I would like my photo put on beer bottles instead of milk cartons. This way my friends will know to look for me.

Now may be a good time to look into alternative race venues such as this.

Yes Rob,

I believe it is but I will have my people contact your people to confirm that every living frigging pot hole big or small in Australia is currantly full of bloody water.

I think I'll go and sit on the ride on and make fast motor noises till I feel better.

http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au/de ... /bedourie/

How far was the town from the pan? They have an airport too, althought flying there would probably be more expensive than going to Europe.

Sounds like fun.

Would the insurance company cover an alternative venue?

IMHO a good target would be to try and get a second event happening in August/September being about 1/2 a year out from Speedweek and the driest months at Bedourie.

G'day Jon,

Biloela is a long way from Bilpa Morea unless there's more than one. The one I know of is up near Rockhampton?

Cheers,
Rob

Hi all, Paul from tassie.
For what it is worth I am keen as I have been a member of this association since 2010 and not raced. Either salt or clay. I have now got a bike that will do well over 200mph but no place to play. The longest straight (bitumen) in Tassie is about 3 k's without a right angled corner. So even if Mr. Plod turned the other way I still don't have enough room to run. For me it is approx. 2,700 ks. 1 ferry trip and 3 to 4 days driving but what is the alternative, none. How feasible is it to have the salt lake as the prefered option and the clay pan as the alternative?
Cheers Paul
