They're all nutters in SE QLD......

Wonder if he has a rule book with classes in it???

Mind you, with all the rain we got, the lawn could probably do with a trim out near the canteen???

Just for fun I had a look at the rulebook to see if it could be squeezed into an existing class.
PRO - nup, it's modified.
GR or MR - nup, has to be a 23-38 bodystyle
ALT or CC - nup it's a roadster

Imagine Brian rolling his eyes when this guy fronts scrutinering?!

Should we be more specific in the rulebook?
I don't see "run what you brung" anywhere, so I don't know where they get this idea from. But then I can't actually see anything about "your vehicle must comply within existing classes" even though it's pretty obvious, maybe we should point him at the drag guys and let him see what sort of response he gets there.
I might have a look at the web site and provide more details about the setting of records (local and world)and the requirements you must comply with to be recognised.
Keep the shiney side up........

I doubt he's seen a rule book

Cookey, you might build him a cage, but I bet it might slow him down a tad

Even if he did a cage and found a class I don't think the "Circus Act" kind of publicity does us any favours.
Depends on your point of view but thats mine.

I agree wholeheartedly Chris.
The problem seems to be that people hear or read about the DLRA and Speedweek and think that they can turn up and "Run What Ya Brung".
I suppose to an extent the club has been somewhat remiss in years gone by in letting such vehicles as Go-Karts and Tractors run without meeting the appropriate rule book requirements.

You are right, Chris. We certainly do not need "circus acts" such as this & guys with dogs on motorbikes. We have strict safety rules for a reason & these boofheads are the ones who could stuff the future of our sport. Pete. DLRA #6.
