Diesel motorcycle

Post by ChrisACT »

If someone was to build a motorcycle running on diesel, would there be a diesel class for it to run in or would it just run in the fuel class?

This was mentioned at the meeting - it would be fuel.

Yep, that's the bike that Paul Carter wrote about near the end of his book "Is That Thing Diesel?"

Did he end up riding it?

The SA Uni Bike with the Astra turbo diesel did run but "only" in the 90 odd mph on the GPS track. There was a second diesel bike running too, can not remember the # sorry.

Both of them ran Time Only as neither had a motorbike motor in them.

You can run a bike motor in a car but a bike must have a bike motor.
