not sure what is happening with comms @ the LAKE
Repco have 5w 80 channel CB s this week for $119 -- normally $ 260 for any one only needing one for
speed week -----= bargain --------- and I don't work for Repco

We are looking to get new radios with dedicated channels for communication between officials only.
Everyone else will still be able to listen to these channels, but won't be able to transmit on them.
And we may also be able to transmit the officials channel on an FM frequency, so you will be able to listen on a car radio.

Unlikely that the repeater that has been used in previous years will be available from now on, so UHF coverage will be a bit limited.
For anyone who is part of a team I'd still recommend bringing at least a handheld as it will save you a lot of mucking around.

The requirement for a UHF radio to be installed in all tender vehicles remains.
