after the the first pass at Gairdner which was disallowed, i checked my data and it showed a mid 2teen run in top gear (6th),, the bike was loaded for bear, tracked as if on rails and the motor was running strong,,, i have a gopro mounted on the tank which not only gives vision down track but also allows to moniter the tach and gear indicator,, on this pass the gear indicator showed 6th, but wait, sitting here at home reviewing the footage there were only four changes  , on review the indicators numbers went four to five without a gear change,, sooooo all data had to be recalibrated back to 5th, which gave me a mid 190mph pass,,,
to everyone i told that i was convinced it was a 2something, i owe ya's a beer, ,,,

Geez I was waiting for the smack on the head and it never came!
Takes a big man to admit his mistakes and an even bigger one to tell people about it.

Your not alone there Ronnie , 5th gear passes feel great, just dont get the mph , we have done it too often
Why our start line pat on the back is followed by "7 gears ...reverse pattern " just to remind the rider to try for another gear every run
Hope you hit that rpm next time in top :)

Ronnie,

Run number two on the long track for me was also humming. Pulled off and waited for the support crew to pull up. I figure with the 9500rpm I have run 95mph.
Ask dad for the number and he says 80. Mph - what??? He says what gear were you in.. 4th gear!!!!! I tell you what next run I shifted to 5th four times to make sure. The things we do!

Great to meet you at the Salt.

Cheers JP Afflick.

Hey Ronnie
watch out for that electrickery-- don't always believe it. Like Greg said-- 7 gear changes.
200 should be a snack.--- 185 this year--- another 15 should be easy with some horse power
see you next year

these naked bikes become pretty busy over 180mph, their a good education in aerodynamics,,,
