Post by RGV »

Thought this might be a handy addition to tool boxes.

Interesting Dave
Like the stuff the dentist uses when they ultra violet light the glue in my teeth , sure works well
some of the "glues "that are used to put cars together ( the roof on Mitsubishi ---- s something ) is alloy and is glued to the steel . )
To change the subject a little , my brother worked on the America Cup yatch project , and a tub of glue ( sort of Araldite type stuf)
was flown from the Uk and was left in the sun for too long ( over 30deg c ) so $20,000 + of "glue "was chucked out ---- bloody sun

I use this regularly in my glassblowing. It will only work where the UV lamp can penetrate through the entire area...i.e. clear glass. It doesn't 'set' well if even a small portion of the surface is not visible ...i.e.when a colour layer is involved or trying to stick the glass to another medium.
Still it could be worth a shot at 22 clams.
If its got b**bs or wheels its bound to be trouble!
