Lake Eyre flooding

Post by DLRA »

You've all seen the footage on the news. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Lake Eyre is in a different catchment to Lake Gairdner. Water from Lake Eyre can NEVER reach Lake Gairdner.
The lake was inspected at Christmas and found to be in perfect condition. There will be another inspection on the 18th of Feb. An update will be posted on the forum and on Facebook

For those who don't already know, Lake Eyre is 50ft below sea level and Lake Gairdner is 400ft above sea level.
