Ross Brown

Post by DLRA »

And now for some sad news,
I've just been notified that Ross Brown had a stroke three weeks ago and is expected to be hospitalised for at least another 6 weeks.

Ross Brown has previously been the DLRA Chief Motorcycle Inspector and has also been helping out Graham Hadley our current DLRA Chief Motorcycle Inspector at Speed Week over the last couple of years. Ross's absence will be sorely missed this year.

Apart from the physical effects of the stroke, Ross will also be experiencing severe financial hardship as his factory is leased and obviously he won't be making much money for a while.

Graham will not be at Lake Gairdner until at least Saturday afternoon. Motorcycle Tech Inspection will probably not be taking place probably till Sunday now. He will also be bringing a shade structure as the other structure belonged to Ross.
We will all need to pitch in and give Graham a hand now where ever we can.

Please If you are talking to any bike guys that are entered pass on this info.

And here's hoping for a full and quick recovery for Ross.
Keep the shiney side up........

Does anyone know if he's up to taking visitors, and if so where is he?

I visited Ross today at the Princess Alexandra Hospital ( P A ) Brisbane. He is feeling well and walking around. ( wondering why he is still there)
That's a great sign for recovery.

At present, it is probably not the time or place to discuss publicly health or financial position. He is in touch by phone to DLRA members.

He says the timing could not be worse with only a week to go.

PS , He has a nice green garden to look over . Probably bribed the staff to get it.
