Photobucket Policy Change

I am sure a lot of people are aware of the change in the Photobucket Policy that will have an impact on the Photos posted on this forum .......

I just received an email from Photoshop that says I have to pay $399.99 a year or $39.99 per month to keep the pics I have posted here and on the other Forums I post on, into the future .....

This is what the Photobucket Site says

What users are affected by the changes to our 3rd Party Hosting policies?

Moving forward, new and legacy free account users will NOT have third party
hosting available.

If you were a Plus Account subscriber in good standing as of June 1, 2017,
you will continue to have all the privileges you have enjoyed including 3rd
Party Hosting until December 31, 2018 as long as you maintain your
subscription.

Non Plus 500 Account subscribers that purchased after June 1, 2017 will not
have access to 3rd Party Hosting.

I can't afford to pay that much to keep my Pics on the forum ....

I am looking for alternatives but it looks like our Forum seems to be based on using Photobucket to Post Pics here ......

Any suggestions?

Pete :(

Tiny as far as I can tell "imgur" does not allow 3rd Party Hosting ...... So it can't be used ......

Ok ..... I just tried to use https://postimages.org/ and it worked ...... But all of my Pics I have previously posted here will be unavailable .....

If you use Chrome as a browser they have released an extension the works for me. With it enabled I can see Photobucket pics again.

I know this thread's 2 months old, but I just wanted to let you guys know that Imgur is a great alternative, and, most importantly, it's completely FREE :)

Imgur has a problem that they will not allow the site to be used with classifieds and as the DLRA forum has that section we may find IMGUR may not work here.

The problem I have found with all alternatives to date is that when they save the image they save it to an encoded filename.
Not a problem if you are talking about one or two images, but I'm looking at THOUSANDS!!
Plus no other host will automatically do thumbnails like Photobucket.

With the DLRA site how I've got around it for the moment is that PB is stopping linking to full size images, but the thumbnails still all work.
So I've converted any of the full size images to thumbnails.
There's always a way!

Oh, I understand. Well, that's pretty bad, I never knew that. I thought Imgur would work anywhere. I stand corrected
