Lake Gairdner condition report July 2018

The photo below came via a friend of Norm Bradshaw's who is doing some touring in the outback.
It was taken on the Friday 6th July around lunchtime and shows about 4 inches of water over the lake as far as the eye can see.
Position is at the ramp looking directly across the lake to the west, you can see our track out from the edge and those with very sharp eyes will see 2 safety cones, and no we don't think they are ours.
This was a bit of a surprise as the area is still 3 to 4 inches down on it's rainfall for the year. But is very welcomed.

I can see that the left cone has DLRA written in fine Texta on the base so I guess that someone missed picking it up after this year's event!
