For entrants coming from Queensland and New South Wales. There is a potential blockade of the Wilcannia bridge, from the 13th March, which may require entrants to rethink travelling thru Broken Hill on the Barrier Highway en-route to the lake , at this stage, how long the blockade remains will depend on a response by Government.

So this means extra 480kms round trip. Not complaining, I support the protest.

Apparently the Protest will run from 8.30 am till mid affternoon

I plan to be doing that section today (Wednesday) week,, will be in contact with the Truckies (Gilgandra/Nevertire/Nyngan/Cobar), and will post on the DLRA Facebook page as to whats happening (if anything) at the bridge

Hey Chris, there is a dirt (150k) road down the east side of the Darling to Menindee, then bitumen back to Broken Hill,, all up this route adds 70k to the trip,, I have been warned that on the dirt section if wet there are clay sections that can be very slippery
