Good luck and a few questions for '08

Hi guys have been lurking for a while but am starting to plan out my 08 trip to race. Couldnt come this year. I realise everyone will now be flat out preping so no rush to respond.

Next year Im planning on being there in this car, although probably highboy. Im starting to do a few mods for the 1/4 and really want to make sure those mods are consistent with DLRA requirements.

Please note its a Duece Customs Fibreglass body with a 4" (I think) roof chop from the mould.



I have been through the regs and this is what I think I'll be running. Is this correct?

- Class D Licence - just in case it runs above 125mph
- Engine A - 499 Cube Caddy motor
- Vintage Class or altered coupe????

Now just a couple of questions???

- Will run a cage, even though I dont need to???? Any differences between DLRA and ANDRA?
- 4 pt OMP harness but will need a crotch strap too?
- Glass body - glass firewall???
- Do I need fire suppressions systems in the cabin and engine bay?

Hiya Pete,

Welcome.

You find find a lot of difference between running on the salt and the drags.

Does that Coupe have a 9 Inch or Quick change ?

If so all you will need to do is change the gears for the salt from what you run at the drags.
