FLAT OUT

Post by Rocky R »

Wow, that's cool that some of you have read Flat Out. I was surprised to hear that the book was nominated for the Dean Batchelor Award for automotive journalism given by the Motor Press Guild. There are 3 finalists, Dan Gurney's Eagle Racing Cars, and F-Stops, Pit Stops, Laughter and Tears, and FLAT OUT.

I was caught off guard since Flat Out is motorcycle related, but it seems a good fit, I'm told.

Enjoy the ride!

The last time I raced down under, they had to shoo a kangaroo off the course! Hope to come back someday. Great fun!

Cool, thanks.

How is the Australian Motorcycle News Story?
Is it online where we can read over here?

Thank you.

Hi Rocky,

Hope the work to repair the liner is progressing well.
I read the article today while on a flight - they got the motor wrong for the Ack Liner (2 x ZZR's??) - nontheless not a bad write-up.
Let me know your address and I will courier you over a copy and I will send one to Mike also.

Cheers

Richard,

Just received my copy of Australian Motor Cycle News, thanks for sending it all the way across the pond!

Nice coverage and lots of pics. (next time I'll try to wipe the salt of my face before the press gets there) Heard you and a few others would be coming here in 09. Will be great having you here. Hope the conditions are good so everyone can post some good numbers...

Thanks again for the magazine.
