German Belly tank footage
Some cool German Bellytank (and hot rod) footage. Old school dragging on an airfield not too dissimilar to our Mangalore...

slick!
That's some nice old sheet metal they've got there. I loved the streamlining over the engine of the bellytank, you hardly know it wasn't stock.
Good, Fast, Cheap, pick any two!

Ja Greg ist es so kühl. Ich wußte nicht, daß Sie Deutschen eintippen konnten

ya know I had Frank K here again the Geman photographer who some of you would know from the salt , and I said " Frank , spoken German SOUNDS like a beetle".....he said something like "Popfen machen grubber, geschtalten-kopf" and I said "richen that up sunshine it might run"
...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..

I've been to one of the race meets there.
They call them old style weekends. No billet, all old style cars and bikes.
It's on an ex Russian air force base not far from Berlin.
When you look and black and white photos, if it wasn't for the wind turbines in the background you'd think you were in the 50's.
Unfortunately they didn't have any bellytanks there the year I went, Hemi powered A coupes though.
