Thanks G.

All going ahead well. I had the night off last night. Lots more calls with guys volunteering to help run the event and contribute to getting it all off the ground.

Many thanks to all so far.

I will do an email update on Monday night to all on my mailing list. We have a steering commitee meeting on Monday arvo with updates from all the different areas and will set the agenda for our inagrural meeting on the 16th.
Any intending QTA members wishing to pop something on th agenda shoot me an email or call.

We will change hats at half time and discuss DLRA business. Bob, Lynch and I are heading for Melbourne on the 17th for the AGM.
Proxy vote forms will be available and items for general business can be sent with us.

Yes,
A free hat to everyone that pays for a hat.

Well Sunday night,

Got 1 more Lucky entry today. The blue bullet will slot in the last bike slot in "Team D".

I think your close to the mark Greg, the hat price rises expotentially between the Red and the Blue.

I hope to see plenty of hat collectors at this and future events but I promise you one thing. Those that pay for a hat will get a hat.

Hey Chris, Hey All.
Don't say i'ts all finished. People will still come. We might have to start standover tactics. I don't want to stand outside Latte stands threatening people who claim to be Busa owners to come!
How many spots left to fill matey?

OK the report I promised for Monday night.

We had our steering commitee meeting Monday afternoon. We had 7 of the key members together in one place and this helped clarify a few things.
We have nutted out lots of issues and have plenty of info for the inagural meeting on Sat 16th.

Savro, our member up north visited the Station the claypan is on on the weekend.

The good news was that went well, the bad news they had 30mm of rain last week.

Savros words were that gives us a 50/50 chance of having a suitable surface to race on the end of August.

After discussion we made the decision based on this we had no choice but to delay our date.
The new date is yet to be determined but we are working like hell on background detail to get this to happen asap.

Bridgey and I met with the CEO of the company that owns the Pastoral lease on the station on Tuesday. This all went well and he did'nt say no.

More news and a report from our first meeting after the weekend.

Hi all and thanks for the patience.

The Queensland Timing Association Inc. is now official and registered.

Our Insurance to run an event has been resolved (thanks Bridgey and Bob). This insurance will cover us to run full time trials as per Lake Gairdner, not just test and tune.

We have one other approval to be finalished then nothing much will stop us. The rest will be determination from our members and a little smile from Mother Nature.

We estimate we have sufficient expressions of interest to run an event provided everyone who has put up their hand follows through to their pocket.
There are still a few spots left.

As mentioned previously this Bedourie event will be held under the QTA banner.
All those who have already provided detail will shortly be getting membership application and entry forms from Dennis.
Anyone who needs a form shoot me an email or call.

All our members wish to maintain a sister orginisation relationship with the DLRA and have a working partnership now and into the future.
Yes I have Hijacked the DLRA forum and I thank the DLRA for allowing us to do that. I hope this cooperation can continue.
