Yes - and I'll drop that video back to you this week. Don has an old video of Bonneville in the 60's. There's some (very) short footage of Burt Munro amongst others.

I'll have to bring the telly along to the Xmas Doo, I'll bring the VCR as well, for those old school tapes.

You've been warned, bring your laptops and DVD's.

Hey thanks to all those that have notified their intentions . We have 20 + people coming so far . Maybe we will have to put on some entertatinment , like Bob Ellis pole dancing in that infamous red dress ( no only joking , oh what ahorrid thought ) . Just bring yourselves and your drinks on 22 Dec .

Ho Ho Don,Don't know about the red dress,(it's getting a bit tatty),but would a light blue tutu,with silver sequened Gstring do?? NOT waxing legs tho!!(And make sure the pole has no splinters!)Seriously now, will be there with the compulsery bells on.There is NO DLRA merchandise to sell , as it all had to go back to Carol Hadfield 2 weeks ago.If anyone requires stuff,contact DLRA HQ. We had our xmas doo on Saturday 22nd Dec . Probly about 30 or so turned up , never did a head count . Me thinks it was our biggest rollup of ppl , must be the snags cooking they could smell . As such we never had a meeting , just socialising , cos when the drinks start flowing the need for a meeting diminishes . Chris Hanlon donated a bottle of wine for the raffle , and he sold the tickets . Somebody bought along a plate of Xmas cake and a bowl corn chips , and left said plate and bowl behind , will keep them here until claimed . We even had a past racer of a jet powered car turn up , Jack McDonald member 317 . Jack used to race it in the late 1960s at drag strips around Australia and had planned to attempt to break the Australian land speed record. However the car ( 3 wheeler ) was destroyed in a pretty awful smash at Surfers Paradise drag strip . Jack intends coming along as a spectator to next yrs event .
Thanks to all that turned up , our next get together will include a meeting , date to be announced real soon .
