Streamliner Team Members

Post by Trevor : DLRA 136 » Sun Jun 15, 2008 11:11 am

Over the last years I have been slowly building a streamliner. The car will have a three ltr turbo efi engine in it.

Work on the car has, for the most part, been done by myself or I have paid to have it done.

The car is now about half built and I am looking for people who may be interested in becoming team helpers. I can not afford to pay for this help but if you are interested in joining the team you will not want for a good time, a feed or a drink.

Anyone interested in joining the team please contact me stating what skills you have to assist.

Thanking you,
Trevor

Trevor, my middle name is "time poor" but having seen the progress photos I'd love to lend a hand from time to time if I could manage it. The problem is you're a cut lunch and a compass from me so it would have to be very occasional. Perhaps you might have more luck if we had some of Don's meetings at your place instead. Start them early and then those who are interested could stay all day.
What skills can I bring to the deal? Sensible advice, holding the other end of long things (not a word, Doc! ) minor fabrication skills, I'm good at building trailers, I've built and maintained a few other race cars over the years and when it's done I can crew for you at the salt until the Celica is ready.
Good, Fast, Cheap, pick any two!

For those of you dropping in to this topic I am pleased to report that we have successfully grown the work crew to six. David and Lynchy have joined and more recently Richard a friend of David has also thrown his hand in to help. These eager dudes join Phil and Richard (No.1) from the original team. It does get a little confusing with a third of the work team with the name Richard but we are working on a nick name for one of you once someone does something note worthy of a nick name.
I am very appreciative of the help that these guys are putting in and the progress in the build is streaming along.
I would just like to say "thank you dudes" for your help and friendship that you have bought to the shed.
Thank you blokes> :!:

Anyone interested in the progress Lynchy has posted some progress report on the forum under "Members" : "Trevor Slaughter's Streamliner"
