NSW record attempts Coonabarabran

Post by Zaltrennwagen »

When i was living in the West i found there was more than record attempt on the public roads at Coonabarabran ,in fact at Baradine,it was a big event . Cams has Some details of records before 1983 but they have massive gaps in their records.

Interesting stuff!
What year was this article from?
I can't read the fine print!
CAMS used to have a section their "Manual of Motor Sport" (CAMS manual) listing National Speed Records. I have a 1983 edition with these records listed but nothing in later editions.
CAMS use FIA classifications which are quite different from the DLRA (SCTA) classes.

Here is a list of CAMS (FIA) records that closely relate to what we do (flying kilometre and flying mile).
There is also a link to the full list of CAMS records.
And there is some info on FIA classes.

Here's some more info on the Speed Trials at Coonabarabran.
