many many reasons Norm
1 / want you to have the d/gc record and i try to have the f/gc .
2 / dont think my front end could carry that much cast iron
3 / this is 2008 not 1938
4 / nissan engines are easier to obtain
5 / and i wanna beat ya

want some more hehehe

Gday , I went for a ride in a Skyline with much the same engine i building , except it had a humungous turbo , AND boogie it did . This was in NZ a few weeks ago and we went double open road speed limit in no time and think it was still 3rd gear , grandpa here was hanging on with dropped jaw ... wheeee

Ok peoples . Heres pics of the completed manifold conversion .
Its a 6 x throttle body manfold off a GTR Skyline .
(Remember the GTR Skyline , it won Bathurst . The Holford crowd got all sooky so the Skyline GTR got banned from future races )
I put some pics in last year of progress of conversion .
So what we have is a Skyline GTR complete inlet manifold setup
adapted to a 2.5 ltr 24v dohc head , using adaptor flanges that I hand carved . All this is mounted on a 3 ltr block ... all nissan of course ..

Very noice Don. Is it going in the 31 wagon or something newer?
I remember the GTR Godzillas but think the Holdon and Ford fans might
choose to forget them.

Plan A is to put it in my 97 model Nissan Stagea . They are a wagon version of the Skyline , same mechanicals and pretty much same floor pan . Yep it looks like the family wagon , but its best handling car I ever had . They are pretty rare in Oz , buts lots in NZ

Quite a few in South Oz now, must be someone bringing them in.
Who would buy a Commodore or Ford wagon when you can get one of these fine cars for the same price? :?

I got a Skyline Wagon again . Ah life is complete again . Bought a 1990 GXE auto wagon for the princely sum of NZ$900 . Its registered , only done 270000kms , no rust but crap paint , but who cares . Drives great .
The plan is to put the twin cam engine in it , the one I brought to NZ with me .
Once thats done , am selling the Stagea .
So am going to have a sleeper to get around in again .
