Team Silverton has been busy building a new LSR bike for young Cec Frazer to ride next year.
The engine is an XL 175 honda, topped with the head and cam from Tiny's '06 postie , and slotted into a raked VT 250 frame , and will run in MPS/F 175 , hopefully it'll take him to the high 70's

Just a quick question,

Are there any rules and regulations on the speed of which a 15year old can go on the salt on a motorcycle.

if any 1 could help us out we would greatly apreciate it.

Welcome aboard psteck !
After your bike passes scrutineering, Animal will be watching your 1st run VERY CLOSELY, so it would be a good idea NOT to go flat out , even though the rules limit your top speed to 125 MPH, you will be required to ride under THE DIRECT SUPERVISION of an adult.
The whole its of a licencing pass it to make sure both the rider , and the bike are suitably safe, in operation, and attitude , before letting you operate in the "warp speed" zone

Gday Fraser, thats good to here that your bike is nearly complete.
mines on its way and hopefully will have some pics for you with in a couple of weeks.
We started her up for the first time the other day and she runs well, sounds like a strong motor.
Hoping to do just over 100mph that will be fast enough for a first time i reckon and im also restricted to 125mph so should be all good.

Have you got any ideas for paint yet, im edging towards some fluro orange wheels and black body.

good luck with the build, see you at the salt m8

Gday all,
here are some pictures of the rg250's engine. The insides are very tidy and looks all in great condtion. We have replaced the old leaking gaskets with co$tly new ones and new sparkplugs aswell. Considering racing in M/G 250cc (modified on gas) and not runing any streamliner. Mouth full of wind :o
