It lives
Been a year in the rebuild started just before last years event but today it started for the first time that i have owned it.
Im soooo f@#king happy i could just shit.
New toy
Barrels and pistons arrive back from UK
Heads back from machinist latest GP shape.
Chambers arrive. this was going to be a quick freshen up.
New tyres
Quick clean before going gack together
Taking shape (still empty)
Barrels have been ported and matched to the cases, heads welded up and reshaped to current 250 GP spec, TYGA chambers, modified reed blocks including fitting custom (home made) splitter, new bearings in wheels swing arm headstem, new chain and sprockets, new tyres.
Will be going on the dyno next week some time, hoping to get mid 60 RWHP.
Not bad for a 1/4 Ltr, if only they kept going with development and made 1 Ltr 2 strokes.
Thanx
Dave

2011 is looking like "the year of the bumble bee" , my son just took posession of a '91 RGV 250 too, and it only took one visit to the lake this year to get him hooked, lol.

Bones what class will Alex run his 80 in, i think mine will be M/F 100
Re: It lives
off tap
mps-g 100 or m-g 100.
are you using alcohol? you can use racing fuel (petrol) and still be in gas class
we are using 100octane leaded or better in the 80
