Re: Got it

Thanks heaps BONES
I put a lot of effort into getting that " Wrong "
Never thought to rotate the shaft & use a link, as setting king pin angle on my system is an absolute pain as the front of the four bars has to be removed to set the king pin angle ( a 2 hour job on a good day ) yours is about 2 minutes .
Time for me to do some revision.

Thanks again.

Re:Retract !

Post by ROSS BROWN »

After receiving three phone calls from readers that will remain aynonomous .
I feel the need to retract my statement about being "WRONG"
First I would like to appoligize for the use of the aformentioned word on a puplic forum'
and the Willy Nilly way in which it was shameleslly used.
I do do realize that the forum has a code of conduct that needs to be addered to, and the use of such a negative word is
disgusting and will not be tolerated !
The manufactured article in question is just only "DIFFERENT"

GET BACK TO WORK.

All engine mount sets made and tacked in , 4 out of the six of them are half circle mounts & it takes a bit of patience to let a hole saw dig its way through a 6mm peice of stainless steel
Will now move onto fuel pump mounts which will sit in between the engine mounts (each engine will have its own pump)

Looks much better at that height Ross. It looks balanced and stable already unlike some bike liners that look a bit top heavy. The rider position also looks good now. Keep at it.

Sorry about no updates for a while , " Had camera issues "
Anyway..... Thanks for the thumbs up boys , it does help as sometimes these never ending jobs can be somewhat "testing"
Have got a bit done and will load up progress over the next week or so.
First: Fire control handle on the right hand side ( this one is for the cabin ) Delayed making this one, as having the bottles in the cabin became
a room issue , electrical doodackys needed more room than previously thought.

This is the third bottle mounted..
Its in the spare 4 inches of room between the second and third engines.
It had to lifted of the lower bar to allow the gear shit rod to pass underneath it.
In the lower part of the second picture is the fuel pump mounted for the third engine.
Above all of that is the begining of the air intake runner system.

These next pictures are of the shatter shied x chain guard x bulk head .. the top half of these pieces is still under construction
the hole through the front part of the shield and the frame rail is where the lifting bar will eventually go through which
will also enable it to be worked on, on the stand at the salt . the reason for this shatter shield is that the 35 litre methanol tank
will be sitting directly behind the third engine.

The bonus picture : is of the stainless steel ....Bristol 188..... Nickname "flying pencil " Reached mach 2
has a unncanny resemblance to THRUST SSC .

The flying pencil looks rather sad, like the look you get when the Hostie says Brace Brace Brace, or is that just me.
