Ross and others of the 2-wheel persuasion 8) ,

Well, while we're admiring 2-strokes, I need your learned opinion. A drinking buddy of mine who lives across the road used to circuit race an outfit powered by a TZ750. He still has the donk tucked away in safe storage and often laments over a coldy or 6 the sweet noise it used to make when giving it some berries. I'm trying to convince him to put together a new outfit and run it on the salt, reasoning that his now enlarged proportions (over 120kg) would not be a disadvantage. What do ya reckon?

Cheers, Pete

Peter
Carrying a little bit of extra weight can only be a good thing.
Bones also ran TZs in road race outfits at one stage.
this utube link is of Don Vesco breaking through the 300mph mark with a pair of them... some footage of the engine bay and a really cool sound right at the end of the video...

http://youtu.be/Os4otXHqLc4

Go back over the road with a six pack, help him drag it out from where ever and get it back on the kitchen table were it belongs.. and start building
Cheers Ross.

Just watched that video 3 times, what a bike and man. Your right Ross what a sound.

The video of King Kenny is worth a look at for TZ750 fans too. Also a bit of footage Kel Carruthers.

G'day Bones,

I don't think Stuart is in a hurry to part with his TZ750 engine! And I think it will take a lot of prodding for a frame to be built for the TZ750 - Stuart keeps muttering about engine parts being hard to get, etc.

Cheers, Pete

There's also the 24 Dolmar chainsaw effort though I'm glad it's not me starting it(them).

and watching that brought me to the ultimate in multiple cylinders, the Kawasaki 48 cylinder.
