Hey Ross
Good to see you'r back at it. If I get to Willowbank maybe you John and me should have a get together.
John's body looks a bit too good--- I might have to change engine class. lol
I'll get some action on mine soon and post some pics
here's a teaser
cheers

Fair go you fellas, I'm only a country boy building something under my house.

When you work out a date Bones give a shout and well have a catch up.

When do you both hope to have your liners at Lake Gairdner?

Jon;; Talk yourself up why don't ya.. I live in a shed..... Never been allowed in a house... and
Dennis my main pit man finds himself quite comfortable sleeping in a tyre track left by a truck..

Hope to have the streamliner on the salt as soon as possible !!!!!! given up on trying to put a year to that :

Would love to see pictures of the 4th Aus streamliner currently being built....... Ken Robinson....

Haven't heard of this one
Where is he?
Unfortunately I haven't done any thing on it for ages.
My deadline is similar to yours dut I would like to get it to Gairdner next year and give it a go on the test track
I haven't found anywhere to learn to ride it

How about all three of us next year at Lake Gairdner test track?, your both a bit in front of me.

Sorry about bragging Ross, I've given up sleeping in truck tracks, slept in the tyre track of a truck once, gave me a wicked hangover, woke up & felt like a bus had run over me.

I could probably get access to some farm airstrips in western NSW Bones, be too short to get much of pace up by we can do some learning.

It's the slow bit I'm worried about, riding a conventional bike you can shift weight and balance, not going to happen with a 7 point harness on.

I've sat in Ross's and theres no room in there, sat in my basic cage today, the only weight shifting in there will be in my trousers, ordered my fire suit yesterday, think I should have ordered 2 sets of underwear.

I am in adelaide and anyone considering a lakester / liner could contact me and stop by at work near the airport ,or maybe arrange an out of hours visit .
What is available is bodies and moulds for two projects .
1. this is a pedal prix body that i think would suit a small cycle to some extent .

2. Is a three piece body 4mtrs long , this we think maybe a formula racecar of some kind , nosecone ,cockpit and engine cover .
sorry about no photos on here but i can email for locals before viewing .

He doesn't spend time on the net because he is too busy getting on with it

Nothing of any importance to show F.G
Wheelchair Trike has come along a bit...am currently forming the body and when finished will update the "FAST FIBREGLASS" thread ..Have been taking pictures along the way ... SOON TO COME..

Image

CURRENT.. picture of workshop front...
One of those vehicals is the tow for the streamliner, and one of the others is going to donate it's organs..

Image

In other news.....
Jon Bennet and myself thought it might be of some interest to check the racing surface at lake Buchanan .
We found the surface to be very firm under foot ... but we realised that the liquid coating above the racing surface would become an issue
with the intake charge, ...We will keep our eyes on the place ..
Jon has a picture of us looking for the plug

Wash your mouth out with "salt" Grumm..
I'm a ford man....
I only use chev's and holdens for reliable transport..
Fords are for entertainment
41CHEV is the winner when it comes to streamlining.
But this little baby is a 42 FORD jailbar.. Arrived in somewhat of a state , and i'm still not sure of its exact year.
What I do know is that there was 6 different diffs used 3 eaton 2 speeds, and 3 ford diffs , this has one of the ford diffs and has a patculary rear 100mph speedo , they are normally fitted with a 40,60 or 90mph speedo .
There happens to be two of them . the other one I tried to unload onto Chriss Hanlon :P but a smarter man than I... He REFUSED .. The other one is not in such prinsteen condition as the one pictured.. and I am somewhat embaraced that I actually handed over money for it.
and also every time I go to work on it . IT takes a peice out of me or jabs something into me..
So .... anybody want to buy a truck
Negatives.... MAJOR RUST
................SEIZED ENGINE
....................SEIZED GEARBOX
..................DENT IN ROOF
................. TYRES UNSERVICEABLE
................. JUST OUT OF WARRANTY

Positive.... COMES WITH FREE CAT..
