Still not happy with front fire bottles ,the problem being is that I want two two & a half pound bottles in the front like the one in the picture, which at the moment I dont think are available in a racing application. So have given up for the time being and have shifted onto the hinge boxes and the screen frame, but have come to a halt with that as the material cuboard is bare, bear, beer

G'day Ross
been looking through your build, looks verry good ,you've obviously been building stuff for a long time.
I was looking at the wheels--kawasaki zzr? looks to be plenty of them around your place. Are these the wheels you will use when you run the bike? If so what tyres will you use.
When I get some more instruction on posting pictures I will put some up of mine.
Look in Bob Prior's info for a couple of shots of my streamliner
Hoping you have a speedy build
cheers Bones

MORE
That's a very clever build youve got going there Bones .I noticed the pictures were 2003 you must be getting close!
The wheel is an 18" ZX10 rear and no ,I wont be using it ,its just there to keep a check on heights and clearances . The front wheel is going to have to be made , am wanting to use 18" Mickey Thomson tyres but they are hard to get hold of as they only manufacture limited runs. Goodyear 15" is the other option and will use them if need be (have left plenty of room for options.
Would like to see more of your build ,loading photos is an absolute pain
I will do a class in loading pictures step by step soon as I know there are a lot more builds out there that could be in here.

G'day Ross
The streamliner is still a long way off---got sidetracked with some other projects but hope to get back to it after Bonneville. I bought the bike from Bob Prior a couple of years ago,he and his mate did a verry nice job on what was done.It now has suspension at both ends, engine mounted (gpz900) with exhaust and most of the steering. It hhs hubcenter steering so the front wheel may be of interest. Photos soon .
cheers Bones

Snowball.
A few posts ago 2 bars were added to the cage from the fear of having fingers accidentlly removed & not been able to scratch my butt
This creating extra plus extra work ,the outer cover which was to be made with vitually a single bend now became a three way curve.
A Wheeling machine became a project . had to make the bottom roller ,but was fortunate enough to have a Ford Laser front wheel bearing lying around which then became the top roller and then ## smash bang hammer hammer weld weld ## we have a wheel not not quite an English one but never the less a WHEEL
QUESTION Why does a English wheel have such a big top wheel
The only answer I can come up with is that it would be easier to get get ya digits caught in it.
There must be another reason!

In the begining
July 08 was when this build first started. These two pictures are the first taken. It was before I new anything of the digital age. They were taken on $14.99 "fugi" corner shop disposable special, they have since been scanned into old 486 and enhanced as much as possible.
Sorry about the quality ,but hey it's better than nothing.

July 08? it's just a pup!......everything looks like that at our place right now.....in the middle of a replaster.... it's almost as bad as bog dust but there's fifty times more of it...the novelty wears off pretty quick....

my bet is a big wheel makes it easier to use, like big wheels on a billy cart

...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..

Forgot about that.
DOC
Your rite .It would make it easier to use as it would push the metal around in a longer more shallow wave. The other reason that I have since worked out .Is that when pulling a right angle flange on the small wheel you are limmited the radius of the top wheel before you are interfearing with its axle . A normal 8 inch wheel will give you nearly a 4 inch flange.
I live and learn
PLASTERING get in ya shed

Reminded me of Don's story turned my back for a minute, and here's one of the suggly blisters trying to stuff oneself into Rindercella's dripper ( SHREK ya to big for it )
Hey DON
Guess who had a sister , aaaand a passport

links & levers
Been working on rider controls as of late.
Left picture:
The red switch on the left is fuel pumps.
The red switch on the right is ignition.
The black switch on the left side handle bars is stabilizing skids.
The lever on left side handle bar is clutch
The handle right side inner panel is canopy release
Right picture:
Fire system release handle ( engine bay )
Gearbox linkages & rods are also made.
Progress over the next couple of months is going to be slow
Speedway addiction is having a relapse.
