Yep... coming along slowly.
The intake plenums have been siting in a half finished state for a while, and as like the wiring and some other parts that
are left sitting there half finished, It's so when I'm about building another part in it's vicinity ,I dont go putting parts in the
road or interfare with something else easily forgotten about ...Ease of maitenence was learnt from speedway..sometimes only 4 minutes
between races, and a lot had to be done..
IN OTHER NEWS..
Those of us that are close to the bone. have been in a partcial debate with the SCTA rule makers over the proposed change of motorcycle
streamliner roll cages from 1"1/4 ... to.... 1"5/8 as so to align with car roll cages.
The reason for this being SPEED X WEIGHT X MASS.. mathamaticly.. weight and mass are the same thing , so the equation itself has me stumped
Mike Ackitiff and Sam Wheeler both voiced concern over the un needed change with some pretty powerful arguments . Sam even showed up to the meeting with an engineere to discuss the impracticalities of the rule ( FELL ON DEAF EARS ).
This ruling effectively retires all the current streamliners to run at SCTA events and turns the 10 that are currently being built throughout the world to rubbish..
This is somewhat annoying ,but not the end of the world..
The SCTA runs 3 events
...SPEEDWEEK .. allready overcommited ...
... El MIRAGE..... to dangerous , has claimed to many motorcycle streamliners allready.
... WORLD FINALS.... As Greg Watters pointed out to me .. a good test run before the SHOOTOUT . ( pity..)
That leaves us with...
BUB .. all good .. rules are... AMA .... FIM...
MIKE COOK SHOOTOUT.... all good...
WORLD OF SPEED..... not sure of their rules..
AUSTRALIA ..
DLRA .. Lake Gairdner... SCTA rules....
ISSUE...
This has now become an issue that needs to be resloved when it reaches Australia .. But who needs it..
Thank you Jon for the constant stream of information while this was developing,
and also to Grumm for also trying to put a stop to it..
I would be interested to read constructive points of veiw from both sides of the fence on this issue.
