IN reading through some build diaries here & overseas I See that that many projects start to struggle when it comes to fibreglass . Was fortunate enough to have boat builder as neighbour for many years .He taught me fast ,effective & CHEAP way of working with the icthy ,stinking, filthy F#%&*# N SH@T

left to right in picture DIVINICELL CONTOUR FOAM
DIVNICELL 6mm FOAM
POLYCORE 6mm POLY HONEYCONE
ALL products come in MANY different thicknesses @ 1200 X 2400 sheets.
6mm sheets range between $60.00 & $100.00 all depends on how good you are at sucking up to supplier.
IF USED WISELY 2 SHEETS WILL DO MOTORCYCLE .

Tap some sort of reply into 486. if enough intrest shown I will continue with lesson.
PLEASE try to refain from uploading same picture 3 times because my dummy gets teribbly dirty when spat across workshop.

ENJOY YOUR DAY : ROSS

Right class of 6 :D
Any kiddies coming in late are certainly welcome . but make sure you bring note from mum !
TOOLS NEEDED
From left to right once again. Tape measure & pen for obvious reasons. Hot glue gun , can be bought from any reputable chinese tool dealer, (advice point 1 ) be patient with this tool while its heating up. do not pull trigger with any force while glue is cold or you will find yourself arquing with chinese trader, with his final words being . you gotta be a wucking iwiot! wait for wung to heat up before you pull wucking twigger . wuck off !
COST about $20.00 to $30.00
Razor blades : you will not cut any of these products neatly without them :
Next :Tie wire cable ties & pliers . we should already have these
: grinding pads & sand paper : grinding pads not that neccesary but will speed up project.
: bog & blocks : yep, hate having to open that tin as well, but if primary measurements & fitting is good you should use very little.
Last but not least: RED CORDIAL : As this side of planet has got somewhat casual additude. doing this job with beer goggles on will only have you hugely upset with yourself the next day : (Experence speeking)

First one must determin wether am going to make one off product or multipile units,
TOP PICTURE is outfit wing plug & mould .( multiple unit ) racing can sometimes gets pretty heated & its faster to replace than repair.

LOWER PICTURE is one off . this is your best option . because you dont have to pay attention to release angles . ya just make up shape around vehicle . thats what the tie wire & caple ties are for . then put one layer of resign on & let it dry, to give it body . then load the glass on one layer at a time (drying in between each layer ) this minimilizes
warpages on panels youd like to keep looking straight.
USE UNWAXED RESIGN DURING THESE STAGES. as waxed resign will create delamination of layers when being used.
NEXT when rellativley happy with finish load up with WAXED GELCOAT & start sanding. WHEN finished you can grind out all the foam if you wish or feather of edges & glass insde as well for body strength.

WAITING , WAITING ,WAITING,

LONG VERSION, EASY WAY
This should only take a week . Donour project bike is 1934 Indian sport scout .One of the rides of legend Rollie Free before he later shifted to Vincents. during this minature scale build I will endeavour to to show large scale techniques. Not happy with steering head height & angle so will alter them tomorrow & show were first 2 pieces of divinicell sit the fairing will be somewere in style of Brett Destoop (suzuki ) and Joe Amano (kawasaki) I Fore see some yip yap on aero during this build . A debate that will hopefully do us all good.
