If you need a crash test dummy of the "larger than Chris" variety, I am available. I remember the dimensions of the XP and the contortions involved in getting into it and the need to contract my neck like a turtle in order to save what hair I have left....
BTW - The Jag is similarly difficult to get into but easy to get out of if I do a "seal roll" out over the cage. Big Gaz with his 1.5% body fat and build like a racing ferret finds it easier.

That is a nice looking honest truck. If it were a dog it'd be a labrador.
I guess the next question is what can you do at the back? It is a much argued thing whether to leave the tailgate up or down.
This scientist says up:

This mod looks good but is it allowed? It could be called a canopy?:

Any ideas on colour?

Your right Rev a labrador.
Tailgate up and flat hardcover is the best the rules allow.
Color wise have'nt even thouht on yet. White on white ain't kosher so might have do a splash of something.
This weekend l plan to lower the rear. Simple enough because the currant diff housing is located under the rear springs. There is enough room above the springs to relocate the new 9" housing, just move the spring pads and reset the pinion angle.
At this stage l will tack it till l final the tailshaft as it maybe 1 piece or 2 piece. Yet to make a final decision there until l talk to my tailshaft man.
Next week l'll restud the axles so we can go to Falcon pattern car wheels.
This makes tyre choice easier.
Front l have already converted which l will outline with pictures etc later.

Re: Mals Effie project
Hmmm, I seem to recognize that engine bay paint colour, Ford Tractor Blue?
Thought I was being clever painting my trailer that colour, but the bastards pinched it away (complete with custom cage and Chev Rally wheels, caps and trims) was in the back of the carport at the end of the driveway, they just hooked it up and drove away.

Yes GW
Thought Ford tractor blue was apt considering what l was building.
Our competition in this class (C/PPickup) at Bonneville is the Big Red Truck from Texas, and its a Chev.
So guess what.
