A blown big block in the Spirit could be a way of curing it, of course I've got so much money I've been wiping my bum with it because I'm too lazy to go to the shop and buy tickets so unless he's giving it away....

Grumm, your input is needed regarding the proximity of the exhaust to the rear tyre.



The pipe looks closer than it actually is to the tyre (25mm at it's closest point)



I'm thinking of squashing it once the welding is finished just to make the distance greater, probably 30/35mm ?
In your opinion, as it is now, there will be any scrutineering problems arising from this setup ?

7.B.20 Exhaust:

All exhaust system outlets shall be directed away from rider, the rear tire and the course surface. All blow-off valves, waste gates and burst panels must point away from the rider.

If that's what it does, then it should be fine

The "tank" is just somewhere to lay, there's a huge hole underneath for the blower to sit (it leaked once we put methanol in it just before the 2010 event , hence the flat black stains)
I'm planning a new flash paint job soon,,,,



The pipes worked out good, I just hope they don't leak @ the head (stainless "walks" HEAPS when welded)

Don't hold your breath RGV, the Tacho's lie, it was apparently a marketing thing, and Honda was caught out,,the tacho reads 1000 rpm higher than the actual RPM @ redline,,,,plus,,max power is @ 15000 RPM, and drops abruptly after this, so this little baby is geared accordingly,,15000 actual RPM in top will hopefully, get me a licence

Iv'e had a very limited amount of time to service the addiction the last couple of weeks, but it's still getting closer to the N/A test ride, and it still might be before christmas.
The tank/seat fabrication is done.





Leak test & cleanup is the next job on it,
I've mocked up the guages so I can wire everything up, and see that it runs (soon)

Fuel.
I'm aware of the problem Brett had with his setup mate, I'm thinking "suckitt and see" , hopefully, me as a counterweight, and 1/2 Brett's speed, it won't be too bad,,only one way to find out eh !

For the uninitiated the yellow cord over the gauge set is called " Broken hill String " and is used around town to hold a multitiude of things together most nearly everything . In its real life , at work , it is explosive deternator wire .
This use of all things usefull is another example of Deep Shed Science .

I have run ice/water tanks in the rear for a couple of years with no problems


If a prob shows up Tiny the fuel tank foam blocks used in many forms of racing should control slosh enough .
Run it in my fuel tank ( FIM requirement)

I'm confident the fuel tank won't cause too much grief Greg.
Confidence is over rated though, as I was confident of a christmas test ride, but , All I get is a fried pump cutoff relay, a 1/2 working starter solenoid and some more GayBay feeback, after ordering replacements for the fried electricery components, a new complete loom (incase I can't nut out a basic setup) and a wiring diagram someone (me) can actually read !
Doom and gloom sets in here,,,I doubt I'll get Laslo ready by entry cutoff date, and I'm buggered if I'll pay a late fee unless I'm confident (here we go again) all is well,,,
There's always 2013,,and 2 bikes,,,,,,
