yes :) Also keep the tyre pressure constant as that makes a huge difference too. I put mine at race pressure.

The real rear wheel HP should be 100% accurate - it's pushing a mass and measuring acceleration, so knowing that you can measure frontal area, guess Cd and get a pretty good idea of where you should put your gearing.

The numbers were not what I was looking at.

The relative gain in power with that nice straight curve is the important thing.

Also the EGTs maxed at R - 1105F and L - 1107F so I have the tuning right were I want it.

It's raining up here so I might not get to the Drags tomorrow to have a ride.

Yeah Dave I'm a believer in the more Oil is OK theory

Also the new Clutch worked great on the Dyno did about 15 runs.

Installing the Clutch was a straight forward thing.

The instructions are very clear and the tools needed are what you would have if you wanted to fit this yourself such as a Drill and a punch.

I found that the Clutch engagement was very smooth and there was no drag on the disengagement.

There was no slip at all during any of the the Runs, accelerating through the gears or straight Power runs.

It was only the first part of the testing I am doing but first impression has been that there are no issues with fitting and setting up the Clutch.

I am off to the Drag Strip on Saturday, weather permitting, so the next test will give some idea about how durable the Clutch is.

Pete

Drags cancelled next weekend I hope

Went back to the Dyno to get final Readings and it was way down on Power

One cylinder had low EGT, and found that one of the Exhaust "Power Valves" (PV) was not opening consistently, I swore a lot. then I took it home.

Found the problem, the PV shaft had a Bush missing?? so it was running on the seal as the pivot.

You can't see if the Bush is fitted unless the seal is removed, whoever put these Cylinders together left it out.

All good now, other Cylinder OK, PVs readjusted, opening and closing as Mr Suzuki intended.

Oh well better to find it now.

So I went up for a few Test runs at the Drags last night with no fairing/tail section fitted.

I ran the same gearing as the last time I ran the Bike up there, when I had the stock Fairing fitted, still had difficulty getting it off the line, it's no Drag Bike.

It ran great once moving.

When the Bike was stock with Fairings on I got in one relatively clean start (2.3sec 60ft) and got down as low as possible to get one 14.4 - 100mph run.

I went 14.5 - 100 mph sitting up, no fairing off a 2.6 60ft last night.

EGTs 1168F both sides, so I am going one size richer on the Power Jet, (they loved a bit of the old Power this and Power that in the early 90's)

New Clutch worked much better than the Rider did.

Big relief,

Pete

The Final Tuck. I do have clearance at the rear of the Bike off the stand.

Nice!

You should have a crack at the drags with the full fairing - Tony Foale has some interesting info on how, even though a fairing added quite a bit of extra weight, it improved the acceleration

Interesting :o

I was up there giving the new Billet Clutch a work out.

It's also the first time I have ridden it at speed really.

Going up again soon and will definitely have a few runs with the Front Fairing on.

I finally got back to the Dyno.

My first Chart was not right, there was a Hardware Problem, all good now, but it looked impressive.

This is a bit closer to reality.

I am really happy with this nice and smooth power delivery. ( Same shape Curve as before ).

The Final piece of the APS Jigsaw.

This is the first stage of the Plug for the Front Mudguard Mould.

It's 1 Part RGV, .5 RM 80, 2 Parts 1mm Ally and a few rivets and Sikaflex.

It is getting filled in and finished by a Panel Beater mate for Beer.

No Dave it is pretty fragile it was only ever made to be a plug. Those marks on the front are were the bog has cracked just from handling it.

I have strengthened it a bit from the inside and it has 4 coats of 2 Pak clear on it now and I have waxed it up today.

I will be ready to lay up the mold tomorrow.
