It has wheels!!
Rear is a rgv250 4 x 18. 150/70 tyre
Front gs500 3 x 17 110/60 tyre
Bussa forks shortened to 50mm travel
zx10 triple clamps which have a little less offset so more trail

Now the big bit is done all that is left is most of it

Hey Bones, dont use an RGV rear wheel. That motor will destroy it. People putting Big Bore Yam motors into RGV frames have broken the sprocket mounting lugs off the sprocket carrier. I think a GS500 or SV650 wheel is a better option from what I have heard. Maybe even the GS500 sprocket carrier will fit the RGV wheel.

Nice looking bit of gear Bones

Like Dave says the Cush Drive is a bit on the weak side

In the UK a Billet Cush Drive has been developed for RGV500 conversions sells for 120 GBP

The cush drive should be ok.
I made a new one out of billet
There's not many 18" wheels around

Time for an update.
The exhaust is nearly done. I haven't done one for a couple of years and it's testing me.
Fuel tank done and mounted
Battery box 1/2 done

Now that you are all skilled and refreshed in exhausts you could do one for me :D :D :D just joking
The exhaust looks good though, fairly short primaries to my eye, did you do the math or is that a standard thingo sizo for the big hp motors ?

I am just starting an over the top of engine system for my honda cb 750 , I brought a nice set of conventional under the bike pipes from the states with the primary lengths I wanted etc as a plan B but I am trying to tidy up under the bike and also to use the exhaust to get some aerodynamic advantage if possible, see how it turns out , if its half as good as yours I will be happy...........not sure about sitting on top of an exhaust pipe on a 45 deg day yet , :D :D :D
cheers johno

Hey Senior
I could make you a set but I don't think you can afford it--- I work slow.
The book (A Graham Bell) said 16.5" @ 10000 rpm with 50deg exhaust open BBDC.
I'm going with Bell as I have no other info. He has worked for me before.
I have a 4-2-1 system I will try on the dyno---we'll see if I'm as good as yoshamura.
Ronnie
the window has nothing to do with me--- see Greg
Running naked next year, fuel and gas------ look out!!
cheers Bones

Honda had a try at over the engine pipes on their GP? bikes. They put the fuel tank under the engine trying to lower the C of G. Didnt work,

Hey RGV
I have another plan----- 500cc tz750 with reversed cylinders.
I recon it would make a FAST 500cc bike. Packaging the pipes would be the trick but not nearly as hard as the Honda

Looking good Bones.

Did you manage to find 1-1/2" ID stainless for collars?
I've turned up short in my searches so far; Edge buggies used to do them but currently don't.

Thanks
jon

Hey Jon
The pipes are 1 5/8 which happens to fit the stubs from the Yoshi system that was on the bike.
I'm going to dyno both systems.
It's easy to machine some stubs -- I've done it a few times.
I have some old bits lying around (mild steel) I'll have a look.
If you want me to doo the wheel you better give me a drawing
I wasn't sure how the welding was going to go after 6 years. The chassis is good to weld with the current high, but the pipes are much harder to see
with the low current.
It's turning out pretty good.
The race to 200 naked is on.
Ronnie------ stop messing around with those kawasakies :P
