Thanks Bones
I'll knock some collars up from stainless if the motor for my lathe ever gets back from the rewinders.
I'll be a while on the hub and wheel, have a couple other distraction at the minute.

Thanks
jon

cricky ...your got a hurry on :D .....equal length pipes is the right way to go ...this naked game is all about raw brute HP.& the smallest frontal area you can get ....it will be very interesting to see how the lay down bikes go against the late model production framed bikes

sitting/positioned on a lay down bike in the garage, one can get a fair decrease in frountal, however out there on course at around 200mph ya posture is gunna be affected by wind pressure and body english, so given this, along with the extra length (x2), read "drag",, it could be argued that there is not as much advantage to a laydown bike as first thoughts may indicate,,

viva la production,

Hey Ronnie
The 350 went 120 with the road race chassis with no fairing and 141 in the laydown chassis.
I'm going with the laydown and hang on tight

what tail section did you have on for the 120 , was it standard road race or your version #1, :?: , and the tail section used for the 141, as per todays rulebook, :?: ,,

Ronnie
The 120 was the road race seat -- similar to any '70s TZ. Road race bike with the fairing taken off.
This year was with the present rules-- cut off at the rear edge of the tyre and able to see the the whole of the rear rim.
have a look in my build diary

Still plodding away--
A few more pieces to the puzzle
My first weight box-- 30kg.It fits flush with the bottom of the chassis. It's a steel box with lead melted into it.
The foundry charged me $200-- has anyone bought lead shot recently?
It is held in with 5 8mm bolts welded to the chassis.

also made an expansion tank for the radiator

My mate who is also riding the bike has been charged with making the body work-- only the seat for this year-- hasn't turned up yet. He promised next weekend

Im back to square one ...presently doing a full rebuild of the engine ...so its a race against the clock for us both
cheers

Hey Garry
I think it's not the race to 200 at the moment but the race to get to the lake.
I'm home most of the time -- just call before you come up.
Did you sort out the bearings?
