Nice looking stuff ya got there Johno. That ignition looks tricky.
A few of us 2 strokers use Zeel Ignition. 3D programmable stuff. Once ya get ya head round it it is not that bad.

Re: Honda MG & MF 750
Hi Dave,
thanks for the link, I am a big fan of CDI and on the 69 Kwaka the original capaciters were failing regularly so I replaced it with a modern unit from lakeland in the US. Best thing I ever done, the spark was like white lightening. It got me thinking about asking Lakeland to make something up for my old Honda, custom job but this modern coil system with light pick up for trigger got me interested and bingo it happened. There is a bit of a spiel about how it works on the Cycle X web site under their electrical section. Just scroll through the electrical section until you see the timing light action happening.
The things I was looking for were...... individual coils per cylinder, long multiple spark rather than one spark, light pick up, programmable.
Anyway the weather has been so bad a bit of electronic reading time will do me good, cheers Dave

Johno
Just had a look at the Cycle X site, being designed specifically for your engine, it looks like just the thing.
I also run the Zeeltronic Unit for that reason, it's built to wire straight in and go and it made all the difference when sorting out the tuning on my buzzbox.

Still trying to decide if I am a procrastinator

Re: Honda MG & MF 750
The dealer changed the dual coils ( wasted spark) he sent me by mistake for the 4 seperate (non wasted spark) coil type. Which I had pegged as something I really wanted , I know the big HP Busa,s all run fine its just me living in the 70's ....... one spark when I want it kind of thing.
cheers johno
