Oil pump cleaned out, new seals etc, shimmed out the pressure relief spring with two flat washers to see what the difference is

Put on the pistoles today, barrels and head.
I machined the wrist pins from 56mm back to just under 53mm as per JE piston instructions to the thou, but no way could I get the circlips in so I machine another .035 thou off to leave me with about .015 thou end float between the locks, I checked the stocky's and they were about the same.

will leave the engine overnight and retension each head nut tomoz............and a bit for the road.

I tried one of those MLS gaskets this time, see how they go. Man those Honda rings were a delight to insstall compared to those skinny arsed JE rings
It was so easy I done the install by myself, couple of screww drivers, just let the weight of the barrels ease on down at my pace. Long live Honda

getting closer Finny :D

interesting view of the engine, you can see the big epoxy ports, the area under the ports where it was machine to screw and peg the epoxy,

Oh dear I'm getting the salt fever thing , better have a stiff brandy to calm down :D

I have been doing some serious planning as the carbs on a mock up interfeared with each other .
My plan was to make 4 small bends about 5 deg to splay the carbs apart and the bonus was If I made them 50mm long I wouldnt need ram tubes,
Also I needed 32 mm ID but the closest is 34mm ID, when bending 5 deg in the mandril it shrunk the 34 back to 32, cool hey

Re salt wash down after run ,
Has anyone tried this ol wives tale ?
Bucket, 2 tablespoons baking soda, 2 tablespoons of dolopril limestone OR granual gypsom, half cup of auto wash, half gallon water, mix with gloves on and spray vehicle with an old water fire extinguisher

Love to know if it works ? :D
