Well big day ! all the machining is now done, , pistons, rebore, wrist pins, gapped the rings, .011 top, .012 second, oil .023 These rings a big mommas after the 2 ringers hey, BUT i'm happy, :D right now I just need to get a few passes under the belt before I get into the 2 ring shit again chasing the .01 HP increase

So now I'll strip the bottom end , clean check and reasssemble the lot.

Was going to just give the bottom end a petrol flush and put the top end back on but I thought after all the hard work I better do a nice job.
So pulled the bottom end apart for a check and a good clean of any aluminium crap from piston burn up.

All looks good, just have to swap the primary drive damper , I replaced the rubber dampers in the hub with hard arse solid plastic.

The bearings all look good, everything else aok :D

Reassembled the bottom end after a good clean out of molten alloy, not sure why but it is making a rumbling noise, will have to split the cases again
bummer

Had a nice xmas yesty , ate too much drank too much :D :D :D

Found the problem today , had to split the cases again, found the rumbling noise was from the modified damper I put in , one of the roller bearings had a nick in the outer cage that made it sound like a gear problem, dont have time to try and replace the roller bearings, they are a bitch to replace so I put the stock primary damper back in.

The standard rubber need to be replaced with hard ares plastic when the 60hp engines start making close to 100 HP, the rubber dampers break up and get messy in the oil system, I'll be gentle on the throttle.
