Thanks David, yes it was run by Graham Slapp in Qld as "Voodoo Chilli" and before that was Rosco McGlashan's Ausi Invader 4.

I am hoping to run it at the Motorplex here in Perth some time soon....OR.....put a power turbine and a diff in it and run it wheel driven out on the salt.

Only joking it would be about as aerodynamic a house brick and have about 4000hp..... not a good combination. :( :(

Cheers

It's a J34 From F2H Banshee (hence the name)

They were originally built from 1947 to 1953 so they are getting on for 70 years old now, a bit old and heavy but still does the job.

Ian, I found a pair of jet dragsters for sale on my105 the other day. Both have J34s and come with "lots of spares" for $50k. I can't find the ad now so maybe someone beat me to them. Oh well, that just saved me $50k :D !

Cheers

Hi David, must have been a really old add probably 2013??

Yes Graham Slapp did own 2 cars originally Ausi Invader 1 & 4. That he named Boomer and Voodo Chilli

I have 4 and Ausi Invader 1 was sold to Jim "jet" Nielson who is running that car in Panama in central America https://twitter.com/jimjetracer .

Jim bought the car only and I got the other car the container and all the spares.

Graham also ran the cars a few times in New Zealand and Indonesia. http://www.permaisuri.com/autoshow/auto ... dness.html

Yep could do, but I have already got a fair way on the streamliner..

Might be fun to put one of the J34's in the back of something..... certainly stop people tail gating...

Been a while since I posted, but finally getting into the chassis build for the streamliner.

Looks like my Photo bucket account has died so have put a short video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek6e6VHGHq8

This might sound like a stupid question, but where are you planning to run this car?
