You only get to run 3 mile if you do over 175 mph. Track 2 is only 2 mile on the throttle and 1 mile slow down. Its only timed from the 1 3/4 mile mark to the 2 mile so no 1 mile records are possible for us slow bikes and cars. Its just a 2 mile drag race.

Dave, if your going for a record and you reckon you need that extra distance to do it, you can put your case to the Race Director. We're not going to stop anyone from doing their best.
But we don't want slower ( <175 mph ) cars and bikes using valuable time on track 1 when they can comfortably achieve what they set out to do on track 2.

Hope all went well for all at 2016 speed week ?
Not having any luck trying to find a donor bike in Aus and with the dollar at current rate makes imports not cheap !
Chasing a complete 125 ex race Aprilia RSA or RSW or Honda RS - R , 2002 onwards !
May have another engine option !! But a complete ex GP bike allows more tuning potential and the chance to go road racing later !!
So carbon frame on hold till I have engine and forks !!
