hey Bones,

Thanks! I'm not anywhere near the level you see with the professionals online ... but I'm improving every time and I can get it close enough to acceptable with quite a bit of effort.

Happy to share what I know ... and if anyone else is in the Newcastle area I'm happy to help get you started.

Looking forward to seeing your new build.

Cheers!

Ha! Is "Bullshit" a car or a bike? I'll keep an eye out for it on the salt, what colour is it?

Can't wait!

I have my tickets, time off from work and the truck booked ... a few things left to do on the bike and I'm there!

Not long now ...

Hi Guys,

Finally got the fairing symmetrical ... symmetrical enough anyway (the left side blister is shaped and tacked together).

I was debating whether to cover my arms up to my elbows, as is allowed by the rules, but have felt a bit claustrophobic in the past. This is nice and airy though; no wide tank, frame rails or airbox certainly helps.

Need to change that sticker! Anyone know where to get Fuel warning stickers? I'll fill those gaps around the botom, a bit of trimming here and there, and then weld it all out from the inside ... so there is a bit more to go yet, but this is a good milestone.

And from the front ... looking way taller than it actually is:

Any comments or advice most welcome.

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

Almost done with these bloody blisters! Been more work than the rest of the fairing ... happy with how they are coming out though, begining to look fast!

And looking down the bike:

Few small patches to weld in due to some overzealous triming early on (I've enlarged them so I'm not welding long skinny pointy bits), but not far to go with this now.

Cheers!

Thanks Y.B. I hope I am!

This year it's geared for 224mph at 6750rpm. With wheel spin I probably won't go near that, but 181mph should be eclipsed ...

Cheers!
